Milan entered the campaign as back-to-back European champions, with Baresi at the centre of a team that also featured Paolo Maldini, Marco van Basten, Ruud Gullit and Frank Rijkaard. Baresi wore number 6 during the season, continuing the association between player and number that became inseparable at Milan.

Milan added further silverware that year, including the Intercontinental Cup, while finishing second in Serie A. The home shirt belongs unmistakably to that period: the Rossoneri stripes and Mediolanum sponsor are joined by the European Cup emblem, reflecting Milan's status as reigning champions of Europe.

With BARESI 6 across the back, the connection is to the captain who led one of Milan's defining generations. For Rossoneri supporters, it recalls a period when Baresi, Maldini and their teammates established Milan among the dominant sides in European football.

AC Milan 1990/91 home retro jersey

Red and black stripes with Mediolanum sponsor and European Cup emblem

Represents Baresi's captaincy during Arrigo Sacchi's final season at Milan

Includes Baresi 6 printing in the season-specific style

Key Players

Franco Baresi – 6

Paolo Maldini

Marco van Basten

Ruud Gullit

Frank Rijkaard – 4

Roberto Donadoni
